Diesel fuel spill shuts down ramp on I-75 in Vandalia

Jackknifed semi at the Northwoods Boulevard, I-75 Northbound ramp in Vandalia. Nearly 100 gallons of diesel fuel spilled as a result of the accident.

Chemical leak evacuates Vandalia plant

Police tell us it appears to be an ammonia leak somewhere in the building. Dispatchers from Vandalia are telling 2 NEWS all workers have been evacuated from the plant.

More housing coming to Fairborn

Fairborn council members expressed excitement to see interest in additional housing upon approving construction of section six of Waterford Landing. The housing development will ultimately include 372 units, nearly 50 acres of open space, 20 acres of right-of-way areas, additional landscaping around the retention pond, trails leading to park access and 77 acres of developable land.

PSA Airlines to host Dayton job fair

PSA Airlines is hosting a job fair on April 30 for 70 open positions from 10 am to 2pm, at their Training Center in Vandalia. Recruiters will be on site to meet with potential candidates for open positions including frontline positions such as pilots, flight attendants, maintenance technicians, as well as management and support positions in flight operations, maintenance and engineering, planning, and IT.

Truck spills load of beer in Ohio interstate accident

VANDALIA, OH A big rig carrying beer almost went over the edge of the flyover ramp at Interstate 75 and Interstate 70. The trucker came around the ramp and lost control, riding on top of a concrete barrier before the trailer helped bring him back onto the pavement. By then the load of beer had dropped down below.
